How do we make space for innovative aviation in our cities?

Urban Sky Lab is a collaboration between designers and experts, investigating the spatial integration of drones and other forms of innovative aviation in our country.

Program

From air taxis, to medical supply delivery and inspections with drones;
the number of crucial services provided by innovative aviation is growing. This opens up a range of possibilities, and yet our cities remain unprepared for a transition.

As a program, Urban Sky Lab explores the challenges and possibilities of integrating drones in urban environments, to ensure that we are better equipped for the future.

How do we make space for drones, electric helicopters and other forms of innovative aviation in our cities? Can we ensure that our neigborhoods remain livable, our citizens and workers feel comfortable? To what extent can drones be of support to our challenges?

Through this interdisciplinary approach, we have developed a practical approach and way of working that offers concrete solutions to the new challenges arising from the integration of innovative aviation into urban environments.
